Make lunch together
Each session is arranged for one private group. There’s time to learn how to fold dumplings, chat as you cook and enjoy the lunch you’ve made together.
Planning your lunch
Language
We can arrange Chinese or English. Please ask in advance about Japanese or other languages.
Confirmation
We prepare ingredients for each group, so the date, menu and final price need to be agreed before the visit.
Your hosts
A family member will welcome you. We can arrange an English-speaking host; our father shares the family's understanding of courtyard feng shui and culture. Tell us your interests, and we’ll confirm who can join your visit.
Food preferences
Tell us about allergies and dietary needs before we confirm your lunch. We’ll discuss what we can prepare; special requirements are not automatically guaranteed.
Payment
For a courtyard visit, you can pay on arrival. You may try Alipay; please also bring the agreed amount in RMB cash, as payments funded by overseas cards may not work with our personal QR code. We’ll confirm payment arrangements for lunches and other requests by email.
Photography
Please tell us if you would like to take photos or record a travel video. Ask before photographing people or publishing footage. Private rooms are not included; commercial shoots are arranged separately.
If your plans change
Email us as soon as possible about a delay, cancellation or change of date. We’ll confirm what can be rearranged. Please wait for written confirmation before coming.
The prices shown are starting prices in CNY. Sending an enquiry does not confirm the lunch, and no payment is taken when you send it.
